Is the invoice generator free?
Yes. Creating invoices, adding your details, and downloading a PDF is completely free, with no signup required.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There's no account, login, or signup step. You can start creating an invoice immediately.
Can I download invoices as PDF?
Yes. Click "Download PDF" to get a clean, print-ready PDF named after your invoice number. You can also print directly from your browser.
Can I add VAT?
Yes. Each line item has its own tax/VAT percentage field, and the invoice totals show a clear tax breakdown separate from the subtotal.
Can I add discounts or deductions?
Yes. Each line item supports a discount percentage, and you can enter a negative rate on any line for a deduction, clawback, credit, or other adjustment — the total updates automatically.
Can I add my company logo?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG or WebP logo and it will appear on your invoice preview and the downloaded PDF.
Is my invoice information stored?
Your in-progress invoice is automatically saved in your browser's local storage so you don't lose your work on refresh — it is not uploaded to a server. If you turn on "Remember my business details," your business name, address, contact details, tax number, logo and bank details are also saved locally on your device so you don't have to retype them for your next invoice. Can freelancers use this invoice generator?
Yes. It works well for freelancers and solo contractors — see our Freelancer Invoice Guide for practical tips specific to freelance invoicing.
Can businesses use it?
Yes. Small businesses can use it the same way as freelancers — enter your business details once, add your client and line items, and download a professional invoice.
Can I use the generated invoice for UAE clients?
You can set the document title to "Tax Invoice," add your Tax Registration Number, and apply a VAT percentage per line item. See our UAE VAT Invoice Guide for what a UAE VAT invoice typically includes, and confirm current requirements with the UAE Federal Tax Authority, since this tool does not provide tax advice.
Does this replace accounting or tax advice?
No. This is a document creation tool, not accounting, legal or tax advice. You're responsible for verifying that any invoice you create meets the requirements that apply to your business and jurisdiction.
Can I save invoice templates?
Your last-used template, accent color, and section layout are remembered automatically in your browser for next time. There isn't currently a way to save multiple distinct named templates — that's something we may add in the future.
Why might some features be available only on a future premium plan?
The core invoice generator — creating, customizing and downloading invoices — is and will remain free. As the product grows, some optional, higher-volume or convenience features may be introduced as part of an optional future paid plan to help sustain ongoing development, but we'll always be clear about what's free and what isn't before you rely on it.
